"Free Our Flowers" Exhibition by Robert Washington-Vaughns

Mark your calendars for January 16, 2025, as the much-anticipated "Free Our Flowers" exhibition opens its doors, showcasing the evocative work of local photographer Robert Washington-Vaughns. This exhibition promises to be a profound exploration of identity and resilience.

"Free Our Flowers" is a compelling photographic series that captures the strength, beauty, and liberation of Black men and boys in the American Southwest. Through his lens, Washington-Vaughns offers a narrative that celebrates their stories and experiences, inviting viewers to engage with themes of empowerment and cultural heritage.

The exhibition will officially open on January 16th with a public event from 5 PM to 7 PM and will be available for viewing until February 8th. Visitors can explore the gallery from noon to 5 PM, Tuesday through Friday, and on Saturdays. The Community Gallery, where the exhibition is hosted, is conveniently located in the Convention Center at 201 W. Marcy Street.

"Reclaiming Wellness: The Intersection of Art and Therapy"
On Saturday, January 25th, from 1 PM to 2:30 PM, the Community Gallery will host an insightful live discussion. This event will feature a conversation between the artist, Robert Washington-Vaughns, and one of his photo subjects, delving into the therapeutic aspects of art and its role in personal and communal healing.

"Valentine Extravaganza"
